Climate Resilient Landscape Design

Designs that care for the land - so the land can care for you.

I design soulful, sustainable landscapes for people who want their yards to do more - more beauty, more life, more meaning. From formal native plantings inspired by timeless garden design to abundant edible spaces rooted in permaculture and food forest principles, my work bridges elegance with ecology.

Whether you dream of a pollinator-filled garden straight out of a storybook or a backyard that feeds your family and the soil beneath it, I offer personalized support to bring that vision to life—from layout and plant selection to sourcing and DIY guidance.

I offer flexible design paths to match your lifestyle, budget, and goals. Whether you're a hands-on gardener or want a complete transformation handled with care, you’ll find a process rooted in clarity, creativity, and collaboration.

How we can work together…

  • A foundational design experience for confident DIYers and gardeners who want a personalized plan they can implement on their own.

This package begins with a one-time, in-person consultation to walk your site and align on your vision. I’ll assess major factors like sunlight, water flow, and layout, then provide a custom concept map with plant palette recommendations and phased guidance for implementing the design at your own pace.

    What’s included:

    • On (75 minutes)

    • Concept map with layout, zones, and recommended plantings

    • Suggested plant palette based on consultation findings

    • Phased DIY implementation recommendations

    • Seasonal care tips and sustainability guidance

Best for: Gardeners and homeowners who feel comfortable managing installation and maintenance, but want a professional, climate-conscious design plan to guide them.

  • A collaborative, end-to-end partnership for clients ready to bring a fully supported vision to life.

This service goes beyond a single visit. It’s a relationship with your landscape over time—guided by observation, connection, and regenerative design. I’ll visit multiple times to understand seasonal shifts, soil needs, and site-specific patterns of sun, shade, drainage, and use. Together, we’ll co-create a deeply thoughtful design that reflects your values and meets your functional and aesthetic goals.

From layout to sourcing to the final planting day, I’ll be your partner in making the transformation feel grounded, beautiful, and doable.

    What’s included:

    • Initial site walk-through and visioning session

    • Return visits for in-depth observation and assessment

    • Full site analysis (sun/shade, microclimates, soil health, drainage)

    • Final layout design based on client lifestyle and site microclimates

    • Personalized plant palette aligned to function, aesthetics, and maintenance style

    • Guidance for irrigation, composting, and soil amendments

    • A project management plan outlining the timeline, phases, and key decisions

    • Sourcing support to help secure the right plants and materials

    • Contractor coordination, ensuring the build reflects the design intent

    • On-site support during installation (layout, staging, troubleshooting)

Complimentary Seasonal Check-ins (First Year): I’ll check in with you at key seasonal points during the first year to ensure your space is thriving, answer questions, and troubleshoot any concerns.

Best for: Homeowners seeking a high-touch design experience with expert guidance from vision to execution.

The Design Process

  • 1. Book a Discovery Call

A free 15-minute video call to explore your goals, style, timeline, and priorities. I’ll walk you through the design options and help you choose the right fit.

  • 2. On-Site Consultation or Virtual Walkthrough

We’ll tour your space together—either in person or virtually—while discussing how you want to use the land. I’ll assess sun patterns, drainage, microclimates, and existing elements to begin grounding your vision in real conditions.

  • 3. Concept Map & Plant Palette

You’ll receive a zone-based layout showing pathways, planting zones, and garden features, plus a custom palette of native and edible plants curated to match your needs, climate, and aesthetic. Includes notes on phasing, maintenance, and sustainability.

At this point, clients booking the Conceptual Design can confidently begin DIY implementation or bring the plan to their preferred installer.

  • Step 4: In-Depth Site Observations & Final Design Planning

    For full-service clients only

After your initial concept map, I return for additional walkthroughs to take seasonal and site-specific observations—tracking how sunlight shifts, how water moves, and how microclimates evolve over time. I’ll confirm all key measurements and collect any final details needed to produce a to-scale design plan tailored to the real conditions of your land.

This step ensures that your final design isn’t just beautiful on paper—it’s functionally aligned with your space and its natural rhythms.

  • 5. Full Project Design, Build Plan & Coordination

    For full-service clients only

You’ll receive a comprehensive landscape design package that blends creative vision with logistical clarity.

I stay hands-on throughout the process—whether collaborating with your chosen crew or helping you vet and onboard the right professionals. You're not left managing dozens of moving pieces on your own.

  • 6. Installation Support & Seasonal Stewardship

    For full-service clients only

As your space comes to life, I stay actively involved to support a smooth, successful installation.

But great landscapes don’t stop at installation—they evolve. Through seasonal check-ins during your first year, I help ensure your garden is thriving and adapting.

Every landscape begins with listening—to the land, to your needs, and to what’s possible. Whether you’re just looking for a clear starting point or want full support through installation, each project follows the same thoughtful foundation.
