Mistybreeze Circle

The Woodlands, Texas

A comprehensive backyard design that organizes the space into two primary zones: a pergola-centered dining garden and a productive kitchen garden.

Structured hardscape and layered native-adapted planting create a space that supports entertaining, hands-on gardening, and quiet moments—blending English cottage softness with Texas durability.

Garden Landing,

Dining Room,

& Side Garden

The backyard was organized into defined garden rooms rather than a single open lawn. A brick landing establishes a grounded threshold at the back door, while a raised dining terrace and pergola create a structured space for gathering. Along the side garden, layered planting and a gravel path frame a bird bath positioned on the kitchen sightline, reinforcing movement, habitat, and everyday connection to the landscape.

Kitchen

Garden

The kitchen garden was designed as a structured, highly functional growing space woven directly into daily life. Raised cedar beds and gravel circulation create clarity and ease of harvest, while fruit trees and layered cottage plantings soften the edges. The layout supports serious food production—reflecting their salsa-making business—without sacrificing beauty or cohesion within the larger garden.
